Welcome to the Summer Term, let’s hope for lots of learning, fun and sunshine! This half term is definitely our busiest so far and full of exciting topics you will enjoy.
In Geography, we will be learning all about the seaside. We will be identifying features of the seaside and comparing seaside locations with where we live. We will be using atlases and globes and doing lots of map work! It is such a shame that we will not be able to have a trip to the beach as a class, but feel free to visit as a family and share your photos with us! We will be looking at beaches close to us, such as Formby Beach.
In Science, we will be learning all about animals and their needs. We will be learning about the life cycles of different animals and how humans can stay healthy. It is a great time of year for spotting, and taking photos of animal offspring. If you see any on family trips out it would be great if you could take some pictures and send them to me on Teams to share with the class.
In Art, we are learning all about Raoul Dufy and we will be recreating one of his famous paintings: The Bay of Angels. We will be experimenting with paints and colour mixing.
In RE, we will be learning all about Judaism.
As you can see, it is a super busy half term! We look forward to sharing some of our work with you and you seeing how hard the children work every day.
