Home School Agreement

Research will indicate that children’s outcomes are best where the relationship between home and school is strongest and where parents /carers commit to supporting the values of the school.

There is no longer a requirement for school’s in England to have in place a formal Home School Agreement, however we feel that by choosing Moorfield as your child’s preferred school, all parents / carers are entering into an agreement that demonstrates a willingness for all parties to work together in the same direction and for a better end.

What we expect from parents / carers:

See that your child attends school regularly (96%+), on time and appropriately dressed in correct school uniform.

Encourage your child to work hard and do his/her best.

Make the school aware of any concerns or problems that might affect your child’s work or behaviour.

Support the school’s policies and guidelines for behaviour.

Support your child with homework and other opportunities for home-learning.

Attend parents evenings and discussions about your child’s progress.

Conduct your business with the school in a professional manner, respecting all adults and teachers during your conversations.
